I love you. Seriously. And I am going to make that breeding picture with Mahz super duper awesome as a thank-you! Or finally upload one of those sketches of Dolly I said I was going to show you. I really really love drawing her hair
it's in my Sale folder in my gallery. but i didn't host a for real "sale" because i wasnt sure if i wanted to sell anyone or not. just if one of my close friends offered to buy one (like =rempage who asked about Mahz) then i'd sell it to them :3
they're here. you can ignore the "reserves"; if you draw your payment pictures before they do, you get the horse. :3 but i'm also frustrated by people putting shit effort into their payment pictures :I so yeah. that's why i'm not doing a public sale, just letting my friends buy the horses if they want to. n_n
0.o me? You're the one who's being sweet and amazing to me! You suggested my art to the HARPG Newsletter!
So are you better or still sick? Glad you got over the first the bug, is the second bug still bugging you?
Remember that seaweed design I bought from you? I'm going too make it a crossbred Cornelius Unicorn X Hallucinogen - the more I think about it, the more I like the idea! I might start a new breeding line in my Cornelius Unicorns - They really look nice combined I'm currently finishing 6 (hmm no 5, I uploaded on, the one with all the fire) works digital, but I hope I'll have the time for the seaweed design next
The adoptable thing? Basically there were a few people who strictly did point adoptables, and there was a demand for draw-to-adopt, so they put up one or two designs where there was no effort while their point designs were drop-dead, so obviously no one tried to draw them because they were plain. I'm talking solid bay, no bloodlines, and a solid chestnut, then they post a journal saying how they will never do a draw to adopt again because no one respects them as a designer.
Wa-wa-wa-wait DARPG has been doing what now? I'm a proud member of both the dog and horse community and I don't think they is huge dislike of HARPG except the outlook of pointlessness of the Nordanner dArama.
Luckily it's been a while since I've seen this, but so many people have just been thinking they were better because they weren't a part of the other community. I do agree that the Nordanners are suckish drama pits, but this was happening even before that! Thankfully most people aren't like this, but those who are were just so vocal about it >.< Not to mention I was not at top form when I wrote that and the wrong journal just set me off.
I didn't notice the little divider until I wrote the comment xD I agree there are a few vocal people who love a very one-sided opinion. Just best to sit back and take its course without getting involved.
This is why I stay out of the whole _ARPG jazz. And if I do work on a character some other person has designed, I'm careful to make sure it's not full of catches. Hence why even when asked, I like to avoid HARPG focused breeds But this is why I like your breeds! You don't have all those smelly rules which reminds me I still have some art for breeds you let me use.... I really need to get past only doing sketches for them my bad.
Unfortuanately, a lot of it is. There are some sane players, but they just get nasty and cutthroat with each other the majority of the time, from my experiance. It's not even a certain group, just everyone with a kennel >.< Thank goodness for that group!
I've tried setting up my own kennel, but I'm so bad at drawing dogs I do have them ... I tough about entering them into your race event, but I'm not sure ... they're fast alright, just like my dog who I based them off, but ... IDK, I've seen my dog run against greyhounds; they're the only dog's he can't keep up with. (he can turn faster trough) Maybe I should enter them too ..
I don't even care about those special features, it seems like a way to go all "Ohh, shiny!" and keep people's attention rather than a good way to actually get them invested. Without that I feel like I can make these elaborate stories about them (even if I don't ever post them, which has become a huge problem since I started using DA's Stash. So many things I should submit but don't!) but with those I feel like I have to make the picture worth something, which usually means showing. With the exception of things like the Outlaw Trail, shows just don't make for good stories >.<
I am in complete agreement with you.. I liked when teh breed groups were just places to find a collection of horses of teh same breed.... and then people started doing thigns like point systems and activity requirements and its just not the same.. Not as fun.
It's those activity requirements that kill me. xP I can't tell you how many groups and potential characters I've passed up because of them. I work in a very similar way as you, and it makes it difficult to meet the requirements that appear to be set for diehard fans of a specific, particular group.
